A healthy diet is simple!

Really, it is! Whole, organic food, and plenty of vegetables and fruits.

We all know the benefits of vegetables and fruits, but the reason whole and organic food is important, is because our unchecked use of colorants, additives, genetically modified foods, pesticides and preservatives may be contributing to the epidemic of developmental problems in children. Always buy products that are certified PLANT-BASED WHOLE FOODS . Look for the PLANT-BASED WHOLE FOODsymbol on the package!

The Basic Tenets

A plant-based whole foods diet keeps the good stuff in and the bad stuff out, ensuring complete health for your child.

Foods habits start young.

  • Stop feeding your child all animal products – meat, eggs and dairy.
  • Avoid refined foods like oil, white flour and white rice.
  • Keep all artificial substances (colorants, additives, genetically modified foods, pesticides and preservatives) out of your kitchen.
  • Feed more plants! Fruits, vegetables, tubers, leafy greens, legumes, sprouts and whole grains provide the right balance of nutrients your child needs.
  • Kids need starches: Doctors recommend potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, rice, and beans to provide calories for growth and a host of essential nutrients to children.
  • Add some raw component to the meal (for example, vegetable sticks with brown rice and pumpkin) to aid in digestion.
